The purpose and legal basis for the processing
The main objective and legitimate interest for the processing personal data is to fulfil the company’s purpose, as entered in the Commercial Register.
Purpose of the company:
- The provision of products and services in the field of information technology.
- Turning research results from geoinformatics into marketable products to serve a wide range of applications, in particular through:
(A) The development, maintenance and sales of IT systems (hardware and software)
(B) The collection, processing, analysis and visualisation of data
(C) Consulting and the creating of studies and expert assessments
The data which you provide is used for contract processing and, within the con terra GmbH, for marketing purposes to provide you with information, e.g. via newsletters, about our products and services.
Your data will neither be sold to third parties nor otherwise marketed.

Transmission of personal data to a third country
The conveying of data to third-party countries (countries outside the European Union and the EEA) is done within the scope of contract fulfilment, performance of pre-contractual measures, and the required communication, taking into account an Adequacy Resolution of the EU Commission.
Data is also conveyed to contract workers who are also required as data processors to act in accordance with Art. 28 of the German General Data Protection Act (DSGVO); for example, with regard to CRM services in the cloud and in other legally permissible, exceptional cases.
Data storage duration
Insofar as necessary, we process and store your personal data for the duration of our business relationship. The data will be deleted after the expiry of the legal, statutory or contractual retention periods. Data which is not subject to the retention requirement will be deleted after termination of the purpose limitation.
Note regarding your rights
You have the right to request information about what kind of personal data have been stored about you and for what purpose it is used. You also have a right to correction or deletion of your personal data, or to restrict its processing as well as a right of objection against its processing. The right of objection can also only apply to certain processing of your personal data, such as the direct marketing via e-mail.
